This document presents the requirements and steps involved for the data monitoring software for TAUVEX. It is assumed that data is streamed to the location where this software is installed. Input file contains TAUVEX Level1 data, constantly being updated with frames of data as it streams from the spacecraft.

Features

• Separate tabs for each of the three telescope specific information
  • Each one of these tabs to display the sky image, pulse height distribution and total counts per frame as a function of time. Sky image may be refreshed per frame OR after user-defined number of frames OR no refresh.
    • Total number of counts per frame.
  • Information on state of the telescope, filters. lamp etc.
• Global parameters like coordinates of look direction, status of MDP, solar panels, thruster firing, etc to be displayed on a separate pane outside the tabs.
• Data analysis options:
  • Compare PHDs of the telescopes
  • Plot time v/s parameter value for any system parameters (like temperature sensor reading in telemetry)
  • Plot param1 v/s param2 for any two system parameter (for eg: temperature v/s total counts)
