FUV-NUV RATIO

Important points Observed from the following Figures

  1. FUV/NUV Ratio is reasonably correlating with IR 100 micron intensity which is obvious near the dust ridge.
  2. FUV/NUV Ratio is not showing any apparent increase with IR 100 micron intensity outside the dust ridge which might be due to the scatter in the UV radiation.
  3. The correlation between FUV and NUV is not sharp in the region.
  4. Fig 3 shows that FUV/NUV Ratio is correlating with FUV emission, might be not with simple linear correlation.
  5. From Fig.4 it is clear that the ratio is only lightly correlated with NUV emission near the dust ridge whereas the correlation is lacking outside the ridge.
