[edit] Table::FUV diffuse emission escaping out of LMC

The various columns in the Table are from Parker's paper (1998) and each column in the table are:-

Total flux : The total integrated fluxes are determined by summing the counts in all pixels within each field. Then the number of counts are converted using the UIT conversion formula.

Fractional stellar flux (UIT) : Fractional stellar flux is the ratio of net stellar flux to the total integrated flux.

Stellar flux through (UIT) : The net stellar fluxes are calculated by taking the sum of the contributions of the fluxes of the all stars within each field as determined by PSF photometry.

Fractional diffuse flux (UIT) : It is the fractional flux obtained after subtracting the fractional stellar flux from unity.

FUSE/UIT ratio :(Slope) This is calculated from the FUSE-UIT correlation.

Total diffuse FUV flux : Total diffuse FUV flux escaping from a region = (Total integrated flux X Fractional diffuse flux X FUSE/UIT ratio).

Total stellar flux FUSE band :Total stellar flux through all the FUSE bands is calculated using the Kurucz model.Total number of stars contained in different UIT images are taken from Parker's catalogue (1998).In the table the stellar flux only through 1B1 band is given.
