A Model of Stellar Radiation Field in the UV
I will talk about the model of stellar radiation field
which we have created to predict the Interstellar radiation
Field (ISRF) in the UV at any point in space within a few
hundred parsecs of the Sun. I will also go through the steps
that we have followed during the work.

UV flashes from planetary collisions
Recently many jovian-mass planets have been detected
around several nearby stars. One could expect the
existence of more planets and planetisimals in these
systems. Especially during the process of formation,
the inter-planetary and star-planetary collisions
could occur. Calculations show that at initial stages
of these collisions the UV flushes are produced. The
possibilities of detection will be discussed (this talk will be continued)

TAUVEX stray-light modeling
TAUVEX observations will be affected by the stray-light, mainly
from the solar panels of GSAT. I will discuss modeling and
analysis of this stray-light using the software `Radiance'.

Monte Carlo Simulations of Radiation transfer through Dust
I will present the results of various researchers on the Monte Carlo
simulations of radiation transfer through dust. I will also discuss the
work by seniors in our group, and my direction for the future work.

The near-UV pulse profile and spectrum of the pulsar PSR B0656+14
I shall talk about the paper "The near-UV pulse profile and
spectrum of the pulsar PSR B0656+14" by Yu. A. Shibhanov et al. (2005,
Astron. Astrop., v440, p663). In the beginning, I shall give a good introduction to
pulsars and their emission properties. Then, I move on to talk about the
UV pulsar profiles.

Tauvex Data Quick Look/Monitoring software: thoughts and dreams
The data from Tauvex/GSAT4 will be recieved at MCF/Hassan, from
where the scientific part and the relevent parts of satellite telemetry
will be archived on a server outside the ISRO network. An existing ISDN
link would be used to transfer selected the data from that machine to IIA
(whole dataset would arrive on DVDs). In this talk, I shall discuss the
preliminary ideas on a quick-look and monitoring software.

Introduction to the data pipeline and demonstration of the
pipeline-continued
This talk will introduce the audience to the Data Pipeline Software.
In the beginning I will introduce and explain the data format
for the pipeline. The various steps in running Data Pipeline will
be discussed and, hopefully, the running pipeline with the simulation
data will be demostrated.
